Cradle High-Back Lounge Chair

A lounge chair with a high back and a deep, thickly cushioned seat, the chair you end up in for an hour longer than planned. The back rises far enough to support your shoulders and head, so you can sit upright to read or lean back and let the chair take your weight. In a living room it makes a corner feel deliberate, a place chosen for sitting rather than a gap filled with furniture.

The seat and back carry a thick cushion with enough loft to stay comfortable through a long evening and enough firmness not to sink away under you. The upholstery is smooth and even over the frame, with a shape that curves in at the sides to hold you gently rather than leaving you perched on a flat slab. Six combinations are available across black, white and brown in two forms, A and B.

Use it as a reading chair beside a lamp and a side table, as a soft desk chair in a home office, or as a pair flanking a window in a wider room. It suits modern living rooms, bedrooms and studios, and it sits comfortably alongside the low sofas and warm lighting Urban Arcadia favours. A good choice if you want one genuinely comfortable seat rather than another piece that only looks the part.
